Ugh, I don't know :( I did suggest to the doctor that I learn to play one handed, he said, yeah for a couple of months till the other one starts. I'm going to see what the hospital say, I know there is an op which might help but I don't know if that's just to ease the pain or to get me working again. I just can't imagine not working, it's all I've ever done. Even teaching will be hard if I can't show the students how to do it.

I'll think about all of that tomorrow I think. What a crappy rainy day all round. I'm crossing my fingers Sar that the garage tell you the car is something and nothing. Something daft that the silly AA man missed.

The worst thing is with having your hand in a splint, how on earth are you going to pick/scratch your nose? Unless you do it with your other hand. :D

Why does the doctor think the other one will start? Seems a bit of a negative statement really. If you can recover to the point where you could teach but not tour (I'm thinking that with teaching you can just stop when it hurts, and just show your pupils little examples rather than playing full songs), would you be happy with that, or would you miss playing live too much?

    Can you sing? :)

I think the left one is looking a bit grim too but then I've always had twinges in that one, so nothing seems to have changed from my point of view. Teaching is ok, but I like working. I'm going to stay positive, do what I'm told, pay for surgery if I need to. Hubby just informed me that I get to be a kept woman for the next few weeks, there are worse things I suppose.

Agghhh please don't make me be a singer, I'd hate to lose the ability to find the key and know when to come in :)

This could be a number of inexpensive things to fix :) might be dodgy spark plug, distributor cap, Air/fuel sensor gone ( i had this on my Saxo VTR and it cost £120 to sort out  admittedly that is quite expensive :o ) or it might even be the dregs of fuel at the bottom of ur petrol tank :) try buying a fuel cleaner first and top up your petrol with that and see if that cvures the problem first :)

hi we have had the leads done and new spark plugs but it was still jumping so the garage said to drive it a round for a bit then a light should come on then they could find out what the fault was well a week latter no light had come on and the jumping was getting worse so the car has gone back into the garage

we had to borrow a car as oh needs it for work (it dose a 100 miles a day round trip ) the mechanic did say that the timing chain is a bit rattlely:confused: so i hope thats nothing to bad the petroll thing the car never has less than a quarter of a tank init because of the miles oh dose so i hope it the air senor thing as i would be quite happy with 120 at the mo the car is a y reg mondeo and has proberly had enough of the miles it has done its currantly on 120 thousand miles

Oh no, sorry to hear about everyone else's cr*p days and car troubles, I hope they're all sorted with a minimum of hassle and expense.

I can act as a sponge for negative stuff today cos I'm feeling quite positive! I went out this morning on a mission to visit recruitment agencies galore, thinking that they mostly take your CV and never contact you again, or with an odd day's work here and there. Well, blow me down, the second one I visited I was there an hour and a half and they've arranged an informal interview for me for tomorrow morning! :j Apparently I got double the score they usually look for in their typing and literacy tests so she's put me forward for something higher than the basic 'admin assistant', something a bit more interesting, and its a 3 month position with a view to going permanent! Anyway, its somewhere I can easily get to, with free parking, and it sounds interesting so fingers crossed, this time tomorrow I might be employed :j :D

Which is a very good thing because last night I worked out my total debt as it stands now
