my mil told me about this. and she said she thought £120 was the right amount to spend on a family of 5 a week. bear in mind she has £400 a month for her , fil , 3 cats and 2 dog's and still struggles. she said she don't know how i do it on £200 for 4 or us and 3 cat's. i told her it cause i have to.0

my dad was a single dad used to give me child benefit every week, so i could get what i wanted for me and my younger brother, i used this mostly for bus fare, school equipment, i had other money i made from babysitting, paper rounds.....and i still went nearly every take that concert goin and made sure i had money to get there and back ........i will be debt free, i will0

I watched it online, and as others have said, didn't learn anything new. However, I can't give up Kellogs Cornfllakes, they taste far better than the store brand ones!
As for that daughter and her shampoo......well, I'd have just put the other one in the bathroom, and not given her a choice. Choice is, use it or go about with dirty hair! LOL!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Had to agree with the comments about the girl and her shampoo. She needed to be sent to bed with no supper! I got the impression she had been very spoiled from an early age.
Overall I thought it was a very good way of introducing the profligate to the concept of money saving. If it had been O/S stuff it would have been too much for most people. Well done Mr Lewis!'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0
