  • No need for a warranty; it'll look good.
  • Absolutely not a chance - I'm gonna stick with my iPhone SE, its a better size and it has a headphone jack :).
Actually, I might upgrade it from the 64Gb to the 128Gb version.
Steve Jobs would have been very unimpressed with last night I feel - I watched the original iphone launch by Steve Jobs on youtube a few nights ago and it was a way superior performance, no where near as scripted and he had a passion for what he was doing. Plus he was actually unveiling a way new type of product so unlike the ones yesterday!

    Rant over :).
  • For £1000, I would expect airplane mode to wisk my away to the Maldives!!

Great news! I'm planning on returning to Apple after a year away with an Android device (horrible) and shall buy a 6 second hand. They are currently £200 so should come down in price as the market is flooded as the early adopters (you know who you are) queue up to replace. Cheers guys!

I get fed up with the fact that every year you get the same old comments from people that love to use the word "sheeple", thinking they are clever and witty, and people asking "who would spend that much on a phone?"
Why would anyone spend more than £2k on a car? Why does anybody spend more than 90p on a bottle of ketchup. It gets said every year and it never adds anything new.

With all that said, I won't be upgrading. I buy a new Apple phone every 2 years and this will be the first time ever I won't be. As people have said, there is nothing particularly innovative. When I watched the live stream, nothing stood out. I would pay £1k for a phone if I felt it was worth it, but I don't think the x is anywhere near that.

I'm sure there will be someone who says its down to personal choice if you buy a phone for £1000+, its not for us to judge, its not for us to question them, its down to circumstance etc etc.

Sorry but if you are spending £1000+ on a phone, you need your head examining!!!

The smaller iPhone X is £999. So that gets your seal of approval then?
  • The X should be the price of the 8 then it would sell like hot cakes.
To me Samsung S8 is as good as the iPhone X but more reasonable priced.
  • I bet the phone doesnt cost more than £200-£300 to make in total, thats why its such a monumental waste of money.
The instructions on the box said 'Requires Windows 7 or better'. So I installed LINUX :D:D

Yes because Apple doesn't sell a lot of phones and they have just been scraping by these last 10 years :rotfl:
