information and user help for Hitachi Air to Air Heat Pump

We haven't been able to use the heating since last year. Workmen came in October and said it would be the compressor and I've been told it is expensive to replace this. The company has now gone out of business. The machine is still under guarantee but I'm pretty sure Hitachi won't be interested. I did post about this on the forum but I probably did it in the wrong place. We are now waiting for 2 local firms to have a look, but they are really busy, so it could be a while. Hopefully before next winter..

Suggest you contact Hitachi for a recommended service agent. It does look like a refrigerant or compressor problem.
I do not know these units, but is there a manual compressor start in the service/installer settings?
