Three to Three

I am about to attempt to renegotiate our two SIM only contracts. Not holding out much hope for a good retention deal, so thinking we will need to request PACs and temporarily move away and back again.
What's the quickest and easiest way to do this?
Thanks
Easiest is probably Giffgaff, as you can get an automated PAC from them, you do have to top up though, others may be cheaper but not as simple.====0 -
Thanks. Never had to do this before, as have always switched networks at each renewal but am really liking Threes service at the moment.
So, I have ordered a couple of free giffgaff Sims. I take it I just get the PACs from Three, move the number to the feee Giffgaff Sims (with a small top up) and as soon as it's switched , switch back to the new Three sim?
Am.i correct in saying that process should be able to be done over just a few days?0 -
The title suggests the OP is looking to haggle with Three. There have been some good deals on Three recently, we changed two SIM only on Three to their £18/month (12 month) 30GB, unlimited calls advanced SIM. There is a "Money Saving Expert" deal around too.
It shouldn't be necessary to switch out and back again, if that's the intention. I've found Three to be quite straightforward to negotiate with, so have a chat with their UK sales people and see what they can offer.0 -
Do you have a UK sales number?
I have 2 essential contracts , one is past minimum term and I wanted the advanced 12gb for £12 which is an existing customers offer on an extra contract. India won't let me upgrade my old contract to this unless I either pay full price or take out a 3rd contract. I asked if I could switch my number to this contract if I take it out but they say no. Was thinking of porting out then back to get round this but seems an unnecessary hassle.0 -
Three UK Sales are on 0800 033 8002
However, the offer isn't £12, it's £14 on their web site to a new customer... Ours were both out of the min term but there were no deals for upgrading two SIM only.0 -
I've just upgraded my Three sim-only
from £8.00 - 500MB, 200 min, 2000 3-3, U/L text
to £14.00 - 12GB (inc tethering and Go-Binge), U/L mins and texts0 -
It's £12 as an additional contract for existing customers. Thought they would let me have it at that price as I already have two contracts with them but apparently I need to take out a third to get it so was planning to do that but then port out one of my numbers then port back in to the new contract.0

If you request the PAC then retentions usually have more flexibility.
You can also convert to 3 PAYG then move that number onto a new contract. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

So convert my now finished 12 month SIM contract to PAYG. Then I can sign up to a new contract (using any new customer offers and cashback etc) then ask them to move the number from the PAYG to the new contract SIM?
That sounds like the easiest, if retentions don't come up.with anything.0
