cheapest basic 12 month contract
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a site that compares contracts without cashback? I am well aware that there are potentially huge savings to be had from going for a cashback deal, but I will inevitably forget to claim it (taking aside the issues I have read in other posts)!
As such, I am after a physically small phone on a 12 month contract with 100 texts a month and minimal minutes (say 50 per month, to a landline) for the cheapest possible price. The phone doesn't have to be the latest - just something reliable and small.
Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!

any of the £15 deals from 3 would do you very nicely, though these are 18months. Quidco and refer a friend will bring the total down considerably too.
Or £20/month on virgin for 12 month contract, or maybe cheaper still even, a pay and go on virgin but buying bundles of what you need each month (min spend £7.50 to allow unused mins/txs to roll over). Obviously bundles aren't a "contract" as such so you pay upfront for the phone, but a basic phone is very cheap- this http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/viewProduct.do?productId=F4525A10-9B51-4FCA-8B94-F38C9C3CB3F6 is very basic, but also very reliable and the battery life is amazing compared to a colour screen phone with "bells and whistles".
Wih this phone and a £7.50/month bundle (40mins or 100 txts) you'd pay £110 over 12 months.
3 quidco hasn't been updated I'm afraid for the new tariffs, but I think when DH looked at the £15 txter with quidco and refer a friend (and the £25 rebate from ordering on the site at the time) it factored down to just under £10/month but obviously a 18 month contract.
The £15 talker or txter plans are apparently still on the site but the £15 for 300mins or txts (or a mix of the 2) looks very nice.0 -
I don't suppose you have virgin media services by any chance?
If so, you can choose either 100 mins, 100 text for £10 per month, no minimum contract, choice out of 4 phones or sim only 300 mins 300 texts for same price.

If you can get hold of a phone cheaply then the 02 £15 a month sim could be worthwhile, no contract so you could get rid of it anytime..... details are as follows; http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/SIMONLY/benefits/Online_15#Online_150

I'm guessing virgin dont do there no line rental contract any more? I used to have a couple of these as i moved orange ones onto it when they finished. If you have a payg phone you could maybe phone say o2 and ask about getting a contract with no mins and no line rental cost like a payg and see what they say to that.0

Looking around myself and have asked the same question earlier. I hate those phone stealers who will do anything to prevent you claiming cashback. Have just come from looking at the Vodaphone site via the Quidco site, 12 month contract Samsung G600 phone (the pups nuts as phones go) 150 anytime mins + 100 txts £25 per month, don't know if anyone can offer a better value for money deal. Let us know what you decideOooops nearly forgot £58 cashback from Quidco

I am wondering the same thing as well. I heard 3 has a bad connection, so that is putting me off, if not the 15 quid one is good, but its 18 months!!!0

My brother's on 3 and has issues with their customer services. Coverage isn't shocking from what I understand, but it's not as good as one of the main providers. I guess it's a good deal if you don't have to contact customer services too frequently!
I'm still considering my options.0 -
Ive been with three for about 6 months and not had a problem with coverage - i was told it was bad in the sticks but i live there and its fine!
Customer service staf arent that great although they have always done as i have asked but just a little difficult for them to grasp what you want!!
Dont forget to go through Quidco and refer a friend if you have one and if you dont then...............0 -
If you have a Virgin landline at home you can get a fantastic contract deal for a mobile. I pay £10 per month and have 300 minutes and 300 texts free per month, and if you don't use up everything it carries over to the next month, and no minimum contract. Only downfall is you have to have a Virgin home phone connection.0
