MSE Credit Club

The MSE Credit Club does not allow you to enter an annual salary of less than £1,000. This may be logical for those seeking credit but free access to Experian data is also an invaluable tool for checking for identity fraud.
My wife only has savings and investment income so cannot access her data on MSE without claiming a salary income of £1,000.
Is it possible for MSE to review this element of the MSE Credit Club personal data input
Many thanks.

Hi RG2015,
Thanks for your question!
Like you mentioned, we ask for this info so we can calculate the eligibility and affordability scores in the club. For us to do this, the system needs a figure here to work this out which to avoid erroneous results currently needs to be a minimum of £1000.
It is still possible for your wife to register for the club and access her report but she'll need to enter £1000 to get past this part of the registration form. Whilst this doesn't affect her credit score, her affordability scores and eligibility scores won’t be 100% accurate but that’s ok if she’s not looking for credit at this time and just wants to check her report.
I hope this helps explain but if you have any questions, just let me know.0 -
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your quick reply. This does make sense although it is not ideal to submit incorrect financial data.0
