Here's another:
CLOSING DOWN!
(for re-branding)
I think they changed about one word in the name. That's not the first shop in the Arndale, Luton, I've seen pulling that one.
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I saw a sign on a window that said ........
CLOSING DOWN ...... PRE-FIRE SALE !0 -
Trading Standards will definately have better to do. I will never forget one saying to me when he had to goto a shop I worked at saying "there are grannys being conned thousands of pounds & I've got to look at a sign"0

Theres a furniture store near to me, its been "closing down" for the past 10years. "everything must go" - but so far hasnt. Its common sense to know if they claim they are closing down, just wait for the "Last day today" sign to appear, before assuming there is some mega clear out sale.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

There's a carpet shop near me which was "closing down" when I went to view the flat I've lived in for four years, and is still "closing down". Clearly they must have a lot of stock locked up somewhere
.
Also in Victoria a clothes shop called "French Eye" had a closing down sale. It did close down... only to re-open next door and "French Eye Woman" to open in its place! Given most people around there are office workers who pass the shop every day, who do they think they're kidding?0
