I used to buy plenty from eBuyer (those cheap digital photo frames were a bargain) but they are now in the bin, metaphorically speaking with Hoover and a few other retailers I will never touch again. This site does seem concerned with cheapness more than anything else, so beware.

If you want good value as opposed to just 'cheap' I think Richer sounds take a lot of beating. The extra warranty on their TVs is normally just 10% of the purchase price. They also have shops staffed by knowledgable people, rather than those just wanting a sale.

Been looking for a 37 for awhile now, popped into my local currys and picked one up for £299.99 made by Orion, got it home and its great, really good clear picture, would recommend, esp at that price.sport-smiley-001.gif

Was this in store? Just asking, because the website _do_ have a 37" Orion, but its slightly more than the £299...

you'd have to be bonkers to buy one of these sets, their pretty pretty poor.

This is a far better set
yes its more, but the quality of the set is much much better.

To anyone reading this and thinking of buying a LCD TV , here is my experience.

I was bombarded by people saying get this, get that . Panasonics are best, get HD etc etc.

I went to George ( asda) saw an own brand tele ONN for around £500 many months ago ( probably much cheaper now). I took it home , plugged it in , connected the PC and freeview and have been delighted ever since. It may be a cheap tele but it looks perfectly ok to me - and thats all that matters.

I suppose its like cars. Im happy with my ford mondeo, nothing wrong with it as far as I can see but others would only buy BMW, Audi etc.

I look at it this way, the best LCD TV you can buy today will be laughably crap in 5 years time anyhow.

Also, nice man at Asda said that if I change my mind within 28 days or it ever breaks down just bring it back ..cannot argue with that.
On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.
