But they said the £95 is also to repair the fault ?
After almost 4 years with a cheap budget TV I’m not sure I would personally bother and wouldn’t really expect it to last much longer at that price bracket.0 -
No, the TV has never been moved. The issue would come and go a few months back but is there all the time now.
Thanks
Have a look on the internet to see if other people have had the same sort of problems that you had.
I have a panny large screen tv where after a while it switched it off.
Having looked on the internet it appeared to be a problem with that particular tv so even though i had brought it from currys i went straight to panny first with the evidence - ie other people had the same issue.
They got one of their repairers to come out direct -0 -
I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to respond and provide an update on this.
In the end I decied to go ahead with the inspection by Currys/PC World and pay the £95 fee.
They collected the TV, inspected the TV, replaced all the LED backlights and also a 'display port' (whatever that is), and refunded the £95 fee. They have also provided an additional guarantee on the product for another 3 months.
I'm obviously very happy with the outcome and the way they have dealt with this.0
