Made a complaint about plevin on mbna some five weeks ago. Had a response last week apologising for delay i n looking at my case.
Suddenly today new letter asking me to reapply for plevin as I had a previous ppi claims rejected. On the form bank details and security questions were requested. Looks like mbna are finally getting their act together and paying customers what they are entitled too. Anyone else heard from mbna recently?

    Yes, I'm sure people have.

About time mbna finally had to pay out.
The worst company regarding ppi I have dealt with. Seems to me they had their own rules.
  • Raised a Plevin complaint vi resolver app 31/08

Received response today. Complaint upheld : Just under £1400

Result! Not bad for 10 mins work

What period did your credit card start and end
Did you not receive a letter from mbna to start with
  • I too received a letter from MBNA this week regarding the possibility that I may have a claim on the Plevin basis , will be interesting to see if that's the case.

After reading the letter properly it does not actually refer to the resolver case I raised in August.

It refers to a PPI claim I made 5 years and then goes on about Plevin

Ps in response to Gig 1968’s abrupt questions

    Account opened 2000
    PPI cancelled 2002
    Account cleared 2010

Sorry for my abrupt question as per previous commenter.
The letter I received from mbna stated that I had a previous ppi claims rejected but I could now claim for undisclosed commission is plevin.
As it asked for security questions and bank details I guess those questions were not for no good reason.
    We will see

Just a quick update on this matter. A nice letter upholding my plevin complaint (previous ppi rejection) arrived today. Nice refund of nearly £2500. Seems the timescales given by the supreme court do not always apply as my card was fully paid off in 2005. So happy as mbna deserve what they get from plevin. As they all ways had their own rules on ppi. Happy days.
