Closed ISA in June can i open a new one this year

I have closed my ISA this year in June, which it was open to save to purchase a house.

Can I open a new ISA in this financial year? Or do I have to wait until next year? or next year in April 2018?

Thank you

What sort of ISA was it that you closed and when did you last pay anything into it (was it before or after 6 April 2017)?

You can only contribute to one each financial year. You can open as many as you like (cash ISAs)

  • I think the last time I have added the money to the ISA was before April.
It was a Nationwide Save to Buy.

Also you know a good ISA currently available on the market?

Yes, it's called a S&S ISA and are available from many providers.

If you're looking for cash ISAs then the answer is no I don't know any good ones. I keep all my cash outside ISAs because the rates are vastly better than a cash ISA
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • Hi Jim,

Ok I will have a look into S&S ISA providers. Thank you for your help.
