k750i Voda OneStopPhoneShop, is it unlocked and unrestricted?

I don't actually have the phone but generally o2 and voda don't lock their contract phones, only t-mobile & orange. All the networks lock their payg phones though. The chances are that because its on voda and you're buying the phone of OSPS (and not via the networks) then it'll most likely be unlocked anyhow.0

Vodafone will have changed (spoiled) the firmware and i'm 99% sure it will be locked as per my previous contract phones with them.
I'm still not convinced that Vodafone have actually launched this phone yet, can anyone disprove this???
On the other K750 thread someone found a cracking deal on O2, so it will be unlocked.I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
seen as vodafone aren't selling the handset until June (see http://www.vodafone-emailme.co.uk/vfemailme/coming_soon.jsp) it may be standard GSM stock (i.e unlocked and unbranded) with just a vodafone sim pack.0

Heres the deal: http://m4e.fonetasticmobile.co.uk/2/showphones.php/3783
Pretty sure Vodafone would not sell an unbranded phone as it would not have been checked out on their network. Thats why Orange phones always come out later than other networks, as they test them to death and then brand them.I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
What ive been told is vodafone dont lock handsets that are not live handsets, but i have had a v600 which was unlocked no branding, v80 unlocked and no branding and also the d500 again unlocked with no branding, so chances are if vodafone havent brought it out but its available via osps then it will be unbranded unlocked vanilla stock. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

hi,
so whats the latest with the OSPS offer?
people ordered? when are they to be delivered? can you defo. downgrade after six months?
what incentives have people used? quidco? friend? online order?
what will the final outcome be for the entire year to run?
thanks,0 -
Does anyone have this phone on Vodafone either direct or from Onestop??? I bet the answers no.........................
The phones are released to the networks, not the highstreet resllers. Its up to the network what phone is used on their network. Its only after that people unlock them and use them on whatever they like. Try getting a Sharp GX30 on any other network other than Vodafone.
Somebody else said earlier that Onestop will always say they have the phone to get your order. This was true in my experience just after Xmas when I ordered a non existent Samsung D500 from them, they finally admitted they did'nt have stock after a few phone calls so I cancelled.I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
Thinking about it GK172, I do remember a Mobile Shop (Not a chain) in Bristol (Cribbs Causeway) offering if you took a contract out with Orange and you wanted a K700i, they would give you a choice of the Orange 'modified' K700i or a 'clean' unbranded K700i. This was not at the time of launch though.I say what I like, I like what I say!0
