Butlins holidays offers for 2008

Options
Hi,
not sure if this is the correct place but i'll try anyway. My wife has just been looking at various holiday camps for holidays for next year. She was on the Butlins website and it that the current deals on holidays for next year ends today. Does anybody know if this is likely to be the case from previous experience or if they are likely to be new offers/further reductions ?
We are torn between going to Butlins or trying to get a cheap deal with Pontins once they start reducing their holidays hopefully at the end of the month (according to the Pontins sales rep). We don't want it to rush in
unless we really have to and miss out on a better deal.

Anybody any ideas ?

Thanks

No it's not in the right place. The right place is the travel board where you have ALREADY posted (and I didn't mean to thank you).

don't see why not if the offer ends today - but then it depends how good the offers are really

Personally I'd recommend doing the offers in the papers (when they are there) I've just booked a holiday in Pontins for £38 - don't know how this compares but seemed decent for the three of us.

    hi awacko

I've stayed in butlins a few times (in Skegness) but found out the caravan site opposite was part of it. The vans are privately owned and we managed to go for 7 days in May last yr for £100 including up to 8 people and passes to butlins inc all the stuff like swimming n entertainment but at less then half the price!
I think I rang butlins in Skeg and asked for a list of caravan owners and they sent me it and I just rang round for the best deal.
If its Skeg your looking for let me know and ill try and find the number for you to get the list.

That was the express as I recall. Advertised as £9.50 per person, but you have to pay for 4 people. The offers are quite common though - but you don't guarantee your first choice holiday. Also it is twice that price for a full week.
I'm off to sunny southport in half term. Sun often run the promotion - but not at the moment - but they will run it again before next summer.

Went to Butlins last week of July this year, booked online about 3 months before and got 50% off "brochure" price.

In my experience there's always discounts to be had on Butlins holidays.
  • Going to Skeggy next week, generally if you book onsite and the price if at anytime upto your holiday starting goes down you get the difference, only drawback is you've got to notice it,managed it once in Feb this year and got £30 back :j
