Satellite vs Aerial

Hi all, I am buying a new build house and I am clueless about what difference between satellite and aerial is. The builder is offering to install for "Astrapak" in the loft for the satellite for a charge. Is that something I need to have channels from Sky/BT/Virgin? Please could you explain how aerial and satellite work?…

This is the Astra pack: a dish that can be tuned for lots of different channels and services.

It is mostly used in Europe, but can be setup in the UK. Look for independent TV engineers in your locality, phone 2 or 3 and get advice. Download the PDF from the site to learn more.
