Forgot Car Tax 8 Hours Late
Hi guys,
I intended buying my car tax last night but it completely slipped my mind. It expired at midnight last night. I drove to work this morning and there are two ANPR cameras on my route. As soon as I landed in work at about 8.45am I bought my car tax. Am I likely to get in trouble?
Thanks!

No. You will be fine.0

But they haven't been caught, the car is now taxed and nothing to suggest any other issues.
Whilst I cannot 100% guarantee the OP won't hear anything from this I would be very surprised if they did.
I stand by what I said.
What would your advice be Quentin?0 -

You contradict yourself - if you cannot guarantee the OP won't hear anything then how can you say you "stand by" your poor advice which authoritatively states the opposite?
My advice would be it's possible.
We don't know what sort of anpr cameras the op says he was captured on.
(In the old days there were cases of tickets being issued by traffic wardens on the first of the month for not displaying found when the owner went out at breakfast time to change his tax disc to the new one!!)0 -
Question asked was "am I likely to get in trouble".
My answer was "no".
So whilst I cannot guarantee anything I can maintain my opinion that it is not likely the OP will be 'in trouble'.0 -

Only tine will tell now, there is nothing more the op can do, but do set up a dd for the future.0
