As most people know, domestic appliances dont seem to last as long as they did. A common point of failure is the pcb control module which seems to live in all domestic appliances these days.
These are costly to replace and you often just buy a new appliance.
There are companies out there who can diagnose and repair these economically.
White goods manufacturers often have policy of not making public schematic/technical data for their products. They want you to use their own in house service/repair teams.
See here for pcb repairs,,often its just a single component thats failed which can easily be replaced.

Note, i have no connection with this company.
As an example,7 years ago i bought an expensive AEG Lavamat condensing drier. I paid a good bit of money for it thinking it was fine German engineering. After only 14 months it died. AEG didnt want to know despite the fact it was very little used. They were very dismissive. I then learned AEG hasnt existed for years and the brand name was bought by Electrolux. So you pay a premium for what you think is a German brand and get something else.
I got satisfaction after invoking the SOGA and got it repaired.
Well last week, it failed again. Am i expecting too much for an expensive appliance to last only 7 years?
I shall be trying out the pcb repair company.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
