where you also said 20000 !

What explanation has SP given for these entries ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    SP didn’t see anything wrong.

I don’t think the lady had the 2 bills I have via sp.com

This was approx the time I paid for replacement meters as mine were old school fusses were getting more difficult to replace.

It looks to me as if I’ve been charged for old day/night meters + new day/night meters whereas the reading should have been taken way from old/new meters

Fuses? Meters don't have fuses. What you had changed was the CU (consumer unit) to one with MCB's. That has nothing to do with your metering arrangements.
As stated above, this appears to be an earlier read issue. If the final read is now correct, then so is the bill.
PS: a fixed tariff does not mean a fixed DD. Use more and your DD will increase.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I frorgot the name of the part which was replaced -with the old school fuses.

You have agreed with SP advising billl is upto date and correct.

Think I was quoted a few pence per day for hot water.

What started this post was cause of SP consumption surge 10-20 units May-followed by 198 bill.

Not to worry if I’m careful over winter -I might not run up an extortionate bill for heating.

Thanks MSER’s that lets me know drain machine and hot water weren’t the cause.

SP lady was lovely asking me to ignore the surge part of consumption chart.

    Reading various mser’s posts.
I’ve decided to apply for warmer home discount via Scottish Power.
If successfull, maybe I’ll get to switch on hot water+storage heaters this year.
Latest update on my summer surge in electricty use.
Left payments@75 -Just go to 80 in credit Sept.
Determined not to switch storage heaters on for a while yet.
Need to avoid building up hundreds in debit if and when I switch heaters on over winter.
Does warm home dicount work for Scottish customers.
    I meet 3-5 qulaifying questions.

    Electricity Sept £43.00
    Hot water not switched on.
I’ve switched storage heater on tonght, plan to re take readings tomorrow and all going well, think I’ll re try hot water from tomorrow to establish if there is considerable usage.
Why is there a red light on kitchen water control panel during off peak hours until each morning -I thought that should heat the water,
Though it doesn’t I’ll switch it on tomorrow and it does heat the water.

    Oct 27th final post.
Took readings since switching hot water+storage heater on.
Cost today for 27 days 64 per month.
    Reasonable, in 75 DD range.
Amazing with hot water, storage heater+mutiple tech devices.
And Im at home much more since reducing work hours a few months earlier.
I guess I have to behave myself and use living room electric fire as little as possible when ice cold winter begins.
    Thanks mser’s
