I have been looking into that too, we have a few places where I can get some stuff that I need. Should take half a day. A coat of panel paint which I got left over from the paint. Should do the job0

Hi am looking for advice in the next steps we should take. We currently privately rent a house, the fence in our garden is damaged beyond repair, we have spoken to our landlord on many occasions and they have said it's not their fence.I have been looking into that too, we have a few places where I can get some stuff that I need. Should take half a day. A coat of panel paint which I got left over from the paint. Should do the job0

It was damage when we had the high winds in the winter, through out the year I've tried to repair it, made countless enquiries in getting it replaced but to to no avail. So now is the time to get it sorted...0

If the previous tenants put it up it could belong to them.0

You could hammer in a few tree stakes and attach some of this stuff https://www.sure-green.com/products/garden-meshes-and-netting/plastic-garden-mesh-5mm-mesh.php?product=447&utm_source=adrac&utm_medium=shopping&gclid=CjwKCAjwxJnNBRAMEiwA8X_-QZhfiLOqA6eE7WtoYY4u0Ha5A1tZ0-s6VDrAFOeTa3Pg3WEr6UwncRoCOpsQAvD_BwE0

The short answer is that it doesn't matter whose fence it is, you have no way to make either party put up another. Either side could do nothing, or stick in a line of privet cuttings and say "There, boundary marked."
It therefore falls to you to contain your child within the garden, but a 2 year old shouldn't be left unsupervised for long anyway.
Dan's suggestion looks about right, for now. In my part of the UK, we'd use sheep fence and barbed wire. Neighbours kids now all over 12 and they haven't climbed it yet!0 -
We're using the plastic mesh to contain our kids while some bare root hedging establishes0

The last fence I put up involved some new pallets at £1 each and a few posts from the farm shop @ £2.12 a piece.0

There is no law to have a fence.
You can just mark a boundary with a piece of string!
So I would either fix/replace it myself, or find somewhere else to live.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Just keep an eye on your two year old, problem solved.0
