  • But the claim handlers getting dissed on MSE appear to have very quick and convenient devices to check numerous lenders in one action. Or is this a confidence trick?

I've had dozens of loans and would need 3 days off work to research them all. Template or no template.

Is there really not an easier way?

Your PPI information is not in the public domain. The banks will not supply data to third parties without express consent.

Basically, the claims companies that say they will find out, bombard the major lenders that account for the majority of the market and hope something comes of it.

It is not convenient as it creates significant workload at a significant cost which is being passed to the consumer indirectly.

So you'd rather pay a third (plus VAT) of any redress you might win, than take a few days off?

As already explained over and over, a claims company can only act on information provided by the customer. A CMC is not an "easier" way, but it's certainly far more expensive...
