New on here so please be gentle ! Son has just purchased phone via carphone warehouse shop on EE. He was told at shop that he would not get a better deal if he went direct and that he had 14 day cancellation period. He rang his original provider today who said they could offer same deal £11 per month cheaper and only £10 not £60 upfront for handset. He has gone back to CW today and they have denied the 14 days cancellation and denied the cheapest deal that was offered. He wasn't even given a contract. He asked for. Copy today and what he was given has no terms and conditions. Don't know where we can turn ? Any ideas ?

There's no 14 day period on EE according to the following:

Edit: When buying from CPW at least.0 -
Never believe, or at least always check, what you are told by salesmen in a mobile phone shop, especially CPW. Ideally, don't be tempted to enter such a shop, unless it's strictly to view and then buy elsewhere. I hope you can find a resolution.Evolution, not revolution0

It's basic; in English Law it's Caveat Emptor and doesn't just apply to mobile phone contracts. Next time buy on-line when there is a 14 day cooling off period - and where the deals (even with CPW) are usually better anyway. Not only that, you don't have to listen to the B/S from a salesperson.0

I guess their get out will be the "applies to published prices only" exclusion.
Presumably your son was offered a special retention deal by EE that isn't (widely) published.0
