You are simply guessing what the OP is seeking.
Santander do issue online debit cards, so this is hardly conclusive. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Your other posts do suggest an adverse Customer Service experience.
Is it an isolated one or a longstanding dispute?
Either way, good luck in your search for the holy grail.
It's not going to be easy if the reason for your malign of Santander is of a struggling financial stature.
Santander, on the whole have been an ok bank, but I recently had a problem which took them quite a while to sort out which resulted in me being out of pocket. It is all rectified now, but its left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
I am not struggling with finances, but like I mentioned above, I have a high utilisation of credit available.0 -

You sure that Nationwide's basic bank account offers offline debit card transactions?
Did I say they did or didn't for that matter?
It was only you speculating on the OPs need for an offline debit card. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Refusal of a standard current account (by more than one provider) would suggest otherwise.
Even a basic account with Metro (or other provider) will often be up-gradable to a standard current account. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
