Problem with Nokia 3310

A friend has just been given a new Nokia. She can text everyone else and believes she is receiving texts from everyone else (although she has no way of actually knowing that) but is only getting my texts intermittently.

We have asked her to look at the block feature and she is sure I am not blocked, she has switched off and on again, and tried some other ideas people have suggested but it still hasn't solved the problem. She is very ill and this is upsetting her as she likes to keep in touch with me via text when she is not feeling up to chatting.

I am on a Iphone SE and with O2 and she is with BT on the Nokia 3310

Does anyone have any ideas?

I take it you mean a new nokia 3310 , not a classic old one from years ago 2nd hand

Yes, we can call each other but when we do it doesn't ring, but just flashes my name. I suggested she had accidentally activated the "do not disturb" feature but she says the phone doesn't have one, just a block feature which one of her kids has checked and he says is not active against my name. So we are baffled!
