Massive final dual fuel bill

You should really have noticed that you were underpaying and got your supplier to increase the DD to cover it.
Make sure that in future you monitor yor statements monthly by giving readings to your supplier, cehecking that they are being entered properly and making sure that your DD's are on track to balance your account by the end of of your contract.
It does help if you keep your own spreadsheet as well.
I've been doing it for quite a few years and I know within pence how much I owe the energy co or viceversa just by putig my meter readings into my spreadsheet.
I'm on track (assuming that the weather is relatively normal) to owe my supplier around £3.83 at the end of my contract in December. Obviously it will be a bit more or they may owe me a couple of quid but it shouln't be significantly more than £20 either way.
