BA flights London to Italy

I know it is incredibly early but we are going to a wedding in Lake Garda next August and so are going to make it a longer holiday, taking in a few different areas. Prefer BA flights due to having Avios to use, however the flights are looking very expensive at present. £244 to Verona and over £300 to Venice. They have only just gone on sale so presumably they are at a high, presumably the following factors have an impact on the price?

- summer season now and people are on/have been on holiday so thinking about their next one.
- flights only just available so logical to have them at a high price to begin with to siphon off those customers who will pay a premium to be guaranteed a flight.

I may be totally wrong so interested to hear thoughts from other people.

Often when the flights are first released there are only a few fare buckets added (the expensive ones) with other fare buckets to follow in the coming weeks
Redemption seats though should have been released as soon as the flights were shown - 4 economy on each flight - should be 15,000 avios and £35 per person for returns, assuming you qualify for RFS (you mention wanting to use Avios but not sure whether this is for redemption seats or part-pay)

    Redeem Avios and book them.
If you need a car, try a flight + car booking.
There are BA flights from LCY to Milan Linate and also Venice.

Found LHR > Verona, one way for 2 people is 15k avios and £35. Job done.
