Adding my partner to my ESA claim

Hello
I'm in the support group of ESA and my partner has recently moved in with me and was advised to end his claim as he was in the assessment phase and to be added onto mine which we have done and have filled out the ESA 3 form.
I also get DLA(middle care, high mobilty)and my partner gets PIP (high rate on both parts). Neither of us have carers.
I wondered if anyone could please advise me on what joint ESA money we will get as a couple compared to the £373 A fortnight I get now. Also just to add,I have 1 dependent aged child and am in receipt of council tax and housing benefit. Many thanks.

Whether the advice to end his claim was good advice or not depends on whether he was claiming Income Related or Contribution based ESA. You can't both had IR claims when claiming as a couple, but if he was claiming Conts that claim should continue as, at a minimum, he will receive National Insurance credits,0

He was in the assessment phase of income related ESA0

income related ESA for a couple, both with qualifying disability benefits is £299 a week.
you will both receive your PIP/DLA entitlement in addition.
you will continue to get full housing benefit and council tax support for your circumstances and child tax credit will remain unchanged0 -

Child tax credit will remain unchanged in amount, but they need to report the partner moving in to HMRC so their single claim can be ended and a joint made.
Otherwise there will be an overpayment and a fight for notional offsetting to get it reduced.
