I think it might be because i had the pressure on full Nd reading around it should be between 50/60 psi

Suction blasters aren't all that good in any case. I've got a similar device, but instead of sucking the blast media out of the receptacle on the bottom of the gun, it has a pipe to stick directly into the tub. But it's not very good, and more to the point it's not very consistent, even at the right pressure and after a lot of messing around.
I was told that for any amount of serious use, a blast pot is essential, though a blast cabinet will often work the same way. The point is that there's a valve to let a controlled amount of media into the air flow, not just a pipe sucking up media.0 -

I used iron silicate or metal and please to say it was 100 times quicker
It did cost £40 for 25kg bag but it was very useful
Next is trying glass bead as it is cheaper and find out if it is as good
When they have a grading of fine, coarse and medium, does that mean it is good to blast such surface or the end result will be that such as coarse0
