Schuller Vs Stormer Kitchens

We have been looking for a while now for a new kitchen and we are after a German kitchen. After many weeks of search we got the shortlist down to Schuller and Stormer. What do people think and which is better quality wise?

Toss a coin and stop worrying yourselves to death about trivia.0

Really...spending over £25,000 is a trivia for you!...thank you for the helpful answer0

You have looked at both and you still can't decide, so it's probably a close thing, whether we are talking £25k or £5k.
Therefore, it's most unlikely that anyone here, not being you, could tell which brand would please you most in the long run.
Sometimes it's useful to get another's opinion and I did this myself when choosing a kitchen. However, the context of the room it was going into, the building it was part of, the environment around the property and the lifestyle of the occupants were all known factors in the advisor's mind.
Picking a brand simply because it is allegedly 'higher quality' is probably a bad way to choose a kitchen.
That's my longer answer, and in that context 'toss a coin' is still what I'd say if you really don't know your own minds.0 -
To add to Davesnave, I will put a different slant. It is childs play to touch and feel the two brands. Likewise to look at the carcass thickness, the construction, the hinges, the drawer runners and so on. You then decide which is right for you. So instead of posting endlessly about kitchens why not go and do this?
Most people would have neither, and had I had either brand when renovating my home I would be left with two concerns, First It would have been akin to burning £50 notes. Second the kitchen would have looked awful, dated quickly, and stood out like a sore thumb.
In my case I decided I wanted a quality kitchen that would not date and still look acceptably up to date in 20+ years time. Consequently the decision was to be sensible, pay sensible money, and avoid anything German or Italian.0 -
Between the two brands there is nothing really between quality though I expect the detailing to be slightly better on the Stormer but only slightly.
Frankly, I dont rate either of them very highly as there are better German products you can buy around this pricepoint. Schuller is really an entry level German product (unless you look at Next 125) and Stormer is broadly similar. We’ve had to remove your signature. Thank you for that. So what brands would you recommend at this price please?0 -
Better products for similar money - Leicht/Pronorm come to mine. Similar quality for less - Nobilia or Hacker. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

What is the basis of that statement?
Italians have always been trend setters and they continue to make some fabulous stuff. Just expensive and not as well executed as German stuff. Basically not that different to their approach to cars. We’ve had to remove your signature. We all bandy this illusion around, hoping people will believe it, when we all know the reality is far different. The old saying "you can fool all of the people some of the time ..."
Auto Express did their annual car survey recently. The Volkswagen Up scored dismally for reliability and build quality. The Audi A1 was as bad and the Mercedes A Class a little better. We could all dismiss this as nonsense and instead refer to the Which magazine which has just issued their annual car survey. The reality here is the BMW i3 gets slated for faults, and the BMW 5 Series gets its usual slating for dismal reliability.
Perhaps German kitchens are better than this, but it is supreme folly to draw comparisons with the German motor industry. And I have not even mentioned the emissions scandal with Volkswagen/Audi!0
