Take the American approach to it take them to court and let eager lawyers find some obscure faults to blame the company for what was you and your only negligence. Then see the cost of flight increase for anyone else.

Brag when you get money out of the company.

Unless the OP is extremely wealthy, in whic case maybe they wouldn't be flying economy and looking for a bit of compo, then they won't be funding their own court case.

As I stated earlier the nwnf lawyers will critically assess any case which might have legs and only agree to take on those that have a good chance of success.

I wasn't aware flights were prohibitively expensive in the US, what evidence do you have for that?

I can't see that, it does say prices would rise for everyone else

    Well seems logical to me.

If it were a problem in the us then flights prices would increase to reflect that.

An obvious example is car insurance in the uk, this has had a significant impact on costs, particularly at the riskier part of the market with young drivers for example.

Did you get the details of the person that put there seat back tipping the coffee into your lap? If anyone had a case to answer I suspect it is them.

So YOU kept a hot drink on a table attached to a recliner seat and the person in front of you reclined it quickly.

Yet you blame the airline ?
