Millipedes in the house * Is it possible to get rid of them?

Do you live in an old house, or a house which is damp in parts?
If you do, then the millepedes will enjoy the conditions more than they would a dry environment. It might be hard to control entry of millipedes in an older cottage, where gaps around windows, under doors and around foundations provide entry points.0 -
It would be an old house but it was completely renovated about 5 years ago. Looks as if there gonna stay a while0

Are you certain they're millipedes? There are bugs and beasties that are similar that feed on random crumbs/food detritus - if so, no eating in bedrooms, lots of vacuuming, cleaning out behind the cooker and under the fridge and solid, airtight containers for all grains, etc.
If they're definitely millipedes, they prefer decaying, damp wood - so I'd check there isn't a particular patch that needs replacing/try a dehumidifier out/check for leaks. And I do find that most beasties will gravitate towards perfect habitat in preference - so a small woodpile to encourage them to stay in the garden rather than travelling indoors might be a plan.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
