Upcoming Trip to US Currency Advice

Hi
I am going to the US in 5 weeks and will be taking approx $3.5k.
We were going to get some money in cash and some money on a card as we did last time.
We have asked a couple of local travel agents if they do a special deal for quantities of this amount but nothing. Some other family ae coming too and even asking with their amount they do nothing.
Is there anywhere that would do this or is it case of tough cookie!

Why would you obtain travel cash from a travel agent? The Sixties have long gone. We don't do that any more.
