Competition Rules

• The competition is open to any couple wishing to hold their wedding reception on a Saturday or Sunday between 1st May 2008 and 1st October 2009. Date is subject to availability. Date to be agreed with winner at time of prize giving.
• Booking must be confirmed in writing with a minimum 50% deposit against any products or services that have been quoted or requested as part of the wedding package.
• All couples entering the competition must visit Kingfisher Caterers premises for a formal quote and again for a final tasting.
• The wedding reception would be held at The Royal National Rose Society’s Gardens of the Rose in Chiswell Green St Albans. Access to view the gardens is by arrangement and subject to availability.
• The reception would take place in a marquee and with sit down meal chosen from Kingfisher fixed price menu: single choice, starter, main and dessert.
• “A la Carte Meal does not include waiting staff or front of house management.
• Maximum Numbers: 100 adult guests.
• The winning couple would agree to take part in a case study which would follow the preparation month by month for their wedding (this would not be intrusive) – one short interview per month and occasional photographs should suffice.
• The winning couple will be photographed on their wedding day by W&HT and the pictures published in the magazine.
• In the event of the winner not being able to take up the prize or agree to the terms and conditions – we would reserve the right to offer the prize to the runner up.
• The winner would need to sign and adhere to the standard terms and conditions of the Gardens of the Rose, Kingfisher Caterers and Welwyn & Hatfield Times.
• Employees of Welwyn & Hatfield Times, Royal National Rose Society and Kingfisher Caterers are not eligible to enter this competition.
• No alternative prize is available.
• The editor’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Closing Dates for Entries is 10th March 2008.
• Winners will be announced 1st May 2008.
• Details are correct at the time of going to press - the organisers reserve the right to make any changes.
