Motorola moto3 phone query

I recently bought a new SIM free phone - Motorola Moto E3. I have set this up and running good apart from one problem. I can't seem to get internet through my phone via my mobile. My deal says I have 1gmb per month and was using this on my older phone. It's ok at home as no problem logging into our home internet. Any ideas on how to get this to work when out and about so I can still get internet if needed.

Turn ON 'Mobile data' in settings
  • I do turn on the mobile data switch and sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. When this goes on the WiFi us turned off. My previous phone e would contact tithe house WiFi when I went into the house and used the mo Ike data when out and about with no need to go into amend settings - last phone was a cheap phone.
  • I think I have managed to sort it out but will find out tomorrow when out at work and will check. It has been bugging me for over a week.

Is it just down to poor 3G/4G reception in your area?
