    Afternoon everyone

Bit muggy here, just cycled along the prom, bit cooler there.

Off to allotment later to see what we can pick, beetroot and raspberries mainly at the moment.

Thinking of all of us having a tough time at present, take care.

Please don't feel you can't post because you are not on top of the world. This is a safe place to vent and nobody will judge you.

    Judi and csarina

Big hug and hope DHs feel better soon and can get treatments sorted out.

I am  on your behalf . Hoping the younger generation are just thoughtless and the older generation just tactless but still

It has been raining heavily so will need to get my rain jacket out before heading off to volunteer at the library this afternoon.

Races are on at York so might need to walk rather than getting the bus.

I have a big bowl of soup and stock in the fridge so will scoop off any fat when I get home and then freeze some.

    Hugs to all

Good news caronc. DH's meeting has been put off till tomorrow afternoon. i hope that doesn't mean they are scrabbling round trying to find a niche for him somewhere. He doesn't mind staying if he's got something meaningful to do which doesn't seem to be the case.

    Morning,

Wrote a long post then deleted it because all I seem to do is moan :o

Have a good day one and all x

Hey i'm the queen of moaning... you can join me if you like.:D I like to look at is like this... I dont moan to Grump, i dont moan to the kids, i dont have friends as such so cant (but wouldnt anyway) moan to them. This is my special place where no one knows me and i can moan till my hearts content.

Ive got another moan....Ive got a seriously depressed Youngest. He's sorted his insurance out only to be told the underwriters werent aware of his claim when they insured him. His insurance ran out days after his accident. His insurance has now gone up from £1500 to £2800. Of course i feel sorry for him but on the other hand he drove like a loon anyway so its probably saved his life.

After the overnight storms today is lovely and bright, no rain but the clouds are low and white.

My joiner came and looked at the job, it's not big or difficult so will get done fairly soon, can't be doing with that draught over the bed again this year.

I stripped the bed and have done a large white washing load so all the sheets etc are all blowing happily in the wind. A neighbour has offered to come down to strim the back garden grass for me, I'll probably be away whe he does it so it'll be good to come back to.

The broadband seems to be stable now, it went off briefly when the power cut happened but, thankfully, came back on again. I'm going to leave it alone now until next week when I'll install the new router / modem.

I'm going to have a little walk around the front track with my secaturs. Some bramble bushes need cutting back. :rotfl:

My 12-year old daughter (now 22!) announced one day that when she was grown up she would like a Durex dog - she had mixed up Andrex with Dulux.
We still call them Durex dogs:rotfl:
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Love it!
Hadn't seen DS, DiL or DGS for over 4 weeks. Then had a call yesterday, would we like to meet for half an hour. Lovely to see them but then said "we're going for something to eat, do you want to come"? Made our excuses and said no thank you, can't afford to get stuck with the bill again.
Good for you! Like the saying goes: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!"

I finally got the decision on my Ill Health Retirement application and it's been approved :D which is such a relief :D
That must be a real weight off your mind; I remember going through the process back in 2001. They tried their damnedest to keep me on tenterhooks so that I'd give up and just resign. At least now you can move forward with your life.:T
