Thomson Cancelled Flights Before Departure

Hi,

I received an email last week stating that Thomson were no longer able to provide flights from Newcastle to Tenerife on our date of departure. There was no further information in the email so I was just wondering if someone could shed light on what I am entitled to when I go in store to see about this.

Presumably this is for a flight more than 14 days away?

It seems very strange that they did not provide you with alternative options in the email.

I would check their website to see what days they are flying NCL/TFS so that you can be forearmed when you talk with them.

I suspect what will be offered will be either a change of flying day from NCL, flights to/from an alternative UK departure points such as GLA or MAN, or a full refund.

Presumably the store forwarded the Thomson email on to you if you booked through a store. I'm just wondering if they sent their own email out and omitted the usual information. Any email advising cancellation would normally have your options laid out in it. You can fly on the new departure day, usually fly from a different airport but you would have to pay your own costs to get there, or have a refund.

I'm wondering how far in advance you booked. The earlier you book the more chance of changes. They're flying the same days next summer as this summer and also for this winter, with the exception of about 10 weeks Jan/Feb/early March when they drop the Sunday flight.
