Hand luggage dimensions dilemma

I am needing a new hand luggage holdall as the one I bought last year was a little small for my liking. Found one online which is perfect, but is 1cm longer than Jet2 requirements. Jet2's hand luggage restrictions are 56cmx45cmx25cm. The bag I am interested is 57cmx30cmx22cm.
I don't cram everything into my bag. Last year with the previous holdall, I think the weight of the contents was around 7kg - weight restriction for flight -10kg.
So would the holdall I'm considering be ok for hand luggage?. Its a sports bag, so sports bag material and squashiness.
Edit - I found the holdall I used last year wasn't big enough for an A4 plastic wallet for keeping maps and leaflets in.

If it's squashy then it should squash into the measuring cage, as long as the long edge is not ridged and you have not overpacked your bag.0

Btw Some airlines have already reduced their size to the Iata cabin ok size http://www.iata.org/pressroom/pr/Pages/2015-06-12-01.aspxPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Officially it exceeds the permitted measurements, however providing you are not cramming it full I suspect for 1cm on one measurement you will be fine.0

You should be ok as long as you can compress the 57cm to get it in sizer, and in the overheads so they can still close. If the overheads won't close when you put it in the correct way you would have to pay to have it checked into the hold.0

Did any that reduced it actually keep it because IATA dropped that initiative the week after they announced it.0 -

It's the 9" 35cm width that will be a problem for many with 40 and 45cm wide bags.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

United Airlines say 56 cm x 35 cm x 22 cm for carry on bag plus a smaller personal item 43 x 25 x 22 cm. I found an Aerolite very lightweight backpack (folding) 55 x 35 x 20 - ideal but not in stock anywhere I can find. It's a pity because it was the ideal size, very lightweight and really inexpensive.
I hope you manage OK with your hand luggage.
