correction, Cardew means 55cu.m/person a year. Thats roughly 1 cu.m or 1000litres a week per person.
we've got our consumption down to between 650-700 litres a week per person by making sure that we don't waste water and we don't stand in the shower for ages. We've got flow restrictor on the taps and the shower.
Start reading and recording your meter once a week and see what you can do to reduce your consumption. Our water/sewerage costs around £5 cu.m so it's worth doing as we use 40cu.m a year less than average, saving about £200Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
That bill look about right. We are 2 adults, 1 child who showers with one of us. 1 adult isn't in the house for four days a weeks. Loads of washing and dishwasher and our bill is slight more than yoursThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi, there are a few different renewable systems out there too - could be worth looking into, I only live in a small flat on my own, so don't really have such high bills.0
