Is it worth staying on Economy 7 with an immersion but no storage heaters?

Hi, can anyone advise me please? We moved into an electric-only 2 bed flat last October which had old night storage heaters and an immersion heater for the hot water on Economy 7. We've replaced the storage heaters with new non-storage electric wall heaters but still have the immersion heater for hot water. We still have Economy 7. During the winter we set the wall heaters to come on before we get up in the morning on the night rate and go off when the day rate starts. We then only switch them on again in the evening if it's cold for 3 or 4 hours on the day rate. (We're lucky that the flat is quite well insulated being in the middle of a 1960s block). The immersion heats up at night on the low rate. We only occasionally need to boost it during the daytime on the high rate. We switched from EDF to Scottish Power (as recommended by the Martin Lewis price comparitor). After all that!... my question is - can anyone advise if we would we be better off switching from E7 to a one rate meter? Also does anyone have experience of how easy that would be to do please? Cheers, Tim

    WITHOUT A DOUBT !
    stay on E7.
Is Scottish Power a better/cheaper supplier than EDF, I ask as I am also with EDF
E7, and their new tariff price is quite an increase later this year.

But yes, the way you are working it with the heaters on only at night,
plus immersion, you won't get a better price for energy unless you
    install mains gas !
