My DLA to PIP saga (won)

Thank you Alice. Those were the descriptors I had seen. I have written a letter to apply to appeal in the hope I can be reassessed and placed in the support group, I will get it mailed out tomorrow. I've gone through each descriptor and given explanations how they effect me. I've also added that while I understand PIP and ESA are completely different benefits with different criteria the descriptors that were accepted as being factual at my tribunal.
If I can help anyone with a tribunal, I'm more than happy to do so. Knowledge is power so if you can go into a tribunal with a rough idea of what's going to happen, I think it helps with the old nerves which can make the whole thing easier to cope with. I have PTSD and had a couple of major flashbacks the day before which set my anxiety levels shooting up, yet with the power of hindsight the whole episode really isn't that bad. I'm not going to sit and say it's a piece of cake, it is stressful just not quite as bad as I'd built it up to be.
Torry, there was a gentleman who was waiting for his judgement when I got there. He paced the floor, had to go outside to get some fresh air, he said he felt faint and unwell. I don't know how long he had been waiting before I arrived but my appointment was for 11am it was around 30 minutes late so he waited quite a while, I on the other hand hardly waited at all. Perhaps it's the complexity of your illness or case? Anyway, congratulations for winning and getting your award.Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -
