Perfect Coupon-Mad, thank you. I now believe I have a "completed" Defence. I will create a new thread to post the compelted "Defence" - simply as to start "afresh" for a new set of eyes. Thank you for everybody who contributed to this thread, most grateful!

Keep this thread updated, not the other one!

DQ stage is easy, and is explained by bargepole in a linked post in the NEWBIES thread. After that though, come back when you get your court date because that also tells you the date by which you must file your WS and evidence. Get ahead of the game by reading up on the next stages now.

    5) The Claimant has at no time provided an explanation how the sum has been calculated, the conduct that gave rise to it or how the amount has climbed from £60 to £100 to £149 to £126.65 to £149 to £160 to £166.53. This appears to be an added cost with no apparently no qualification and an attempt at double recovery, which the POFA Schedule 4 specifically disallows.
I think the "to £149" is duplicated.

Geoff - probably not, given they do this all the time.

OP - get writing your WS. No harm in getting ahead of the game.

Thanks nosferatu1001 - will do! Its my job for tonight...

This may sound stupid but I just want to double check - I can submit my defence as a paper copy direct to Northampton CC can I? Do I send to address as on the claim notice?

    Cheers

Thanks nosferatu1001 - will do now.

Slight technical question, but the Claimant - is this the PPC or Gladstone's? Or is this Gladstones on behalf of PPC?

    Thanks! J

    The Claimant is the PPC.

Gladstones are their legal representatives, acting on behalf of the PPC.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

Thanks Bargepole - my defence makes reference to Claimant ( meaning Gladstones) previously having cases "struck out" and being serial litiganat - should I change my wording from Claimant to Gladstones?

Additionally - I'm collecting my evidence now, can anybody point me in the right direction as to where I can find previous records or evidence of cases being "struck out" etc?

Previous cases being struck out doesn't help your case as much as you might think, but you can find some by Googling 'Parking Prankster struck out'.
should I change my wording from Claimant to Gladstones?
The original versions of that said 'this Claimant's Solicitors'. Clearly Gladstones are NOT the Claimant.
