Sky for £11.17 a month

Hi,
I recently switched from Virgin to Sky (9/8), having Sky installed early next month. This was the up to 17MB deal at £18.99 a month. But I see there is a deal on here for £11.17 a month with Sky. Is it possible to cancel my contract with Sky in order to make use of this deal or am I already classed as a Sky customer and this deal would not apply to me anyway?

Thanks for your quick response, I thought it was the case. Just wanted to make sure.0

I would check with Sky if you're still within your cooling off period and if so see what sort of deal they can do to keep you. They're not going to cancel your install or charge you more for asking.0

The same thing happened to me
A couple of years Ago
I care a deal on mse with a code after placing a order with sky .
I called sky and said I had a code for half priced line rental and would i need to cancel my order and reorder or you he apply he code to the current offer
He applied the half price line rental to the half priced fibre there and then .
Give it a go you've nothing to lose0 -
I eventually was able to speak to someone from Sky. I told him about the special and through a long conversation with him, he said he was not part of Retentions, but would save this info to the system and that I could phone back tomorrow morning and speak to Retentions. I will phone them and give an update as to what is happening, either cancel and go with linked deal or get a discount.0

Did you ask if you were still within your cooling off period or will it turn out that you had to call yesterday?0 -
I spoke to 3 people today from Sky, going up the chain of command to a broadband retentions person, and they could not offer me anything and said I would not be seen as a new customer if I cancelled as I already had an order with them. What frustrates me is they could not even offer me some token discount as a goodwill gesture, as they could see I dealt with the person last night plus 3 people today over an extended period of time.
So basically stuck with the £18.99 package.0 -
I would threaten to cancel as you're in the cooling off period. You can then take the EE deal on MSE if necessary which is slightly cheaper. Of course Sky may then choose to match it.0
