Florida to UK flights

Hey all. I would like to focus on direct flights for this trip (specifically Orlando to London return), due to happen mid Sept. I can see that through normal channels I've tried I can achieve around £550 if those rates are genuine, but am looking and hoping for any insider tips to achieve the best price possible.
Also, maybe a minor point, is there any cost advantage to booking the flight from the US or the UK?
Thanks in advance.

So are you staring out in the US or UK i.e US-UK-US or UK-US-UK?
If the former and your dates are flexible you can get two separate one ways using google flights i.e 10/9 approx £200 Sanford to Stanstead with Thomas Cook and then return on Norwegian from Gatwick for £260 on 26/9. Both flights inc bags and meals etc. So saving about £90 but with the faff of different airports.
I know you indicated you want direct flights but If you are starting from the UK-US-UK you could start in Dub (similar dates) and return to Gatwick for for approx £440 with AA.
Good luck0 -
Yes it is for my partner flying from US to UK from Orlando.
As much as I admire the knowledge re savings etc., I'll be sticking to Gatwick (or Heathrow).
It sounds as if booking two singles vs a return could also make sense (thanks!) so will bear that in mind. The flight can be any day of the week, which should also save cash.
Does leaving things until the very last minute ever make sense? I mean relating to some discounted seats becoming available?
Thanks again all.0 -
I personally wouldn't leave it too late, availability may be limited and or costs may increase. Your call;)0

Surely that depends on the specific airline, who will almost certainly be more than happy to add on extra bits for a fee.0

Depends what it adds up to.0

OP here again - where ever i search I get BA or Norwegian currently as the best options, but will continue to monitor. Because the passengers passport has to be renewed (expedited), we wanted to wait to book until they receive their passport back, but am aiming for Monday to Monday last 2 weeks of Sept atm.0

Too busy sorting out my own travel plans.
Sometimes it will be cheaper. Sometimes it won't.0
