His running costs are also very low (just electric at the moment) as he bought his programmes while at uni so doesn't subscribe to them. Are there any temp jobs you could do in your area just to give you a cash boost? I personally would be looking for 3/4 full days work for the days you don't have the kids, aren't any supermarkets hiring? Min wage for 3 days is at least a guaranteed income.
Hiya - yes I'm on PPH and the other ones out there but I probably don't allow enough time to look at them to get jobs - good idea! I'll put that on the list
Yeah am in a bit of a bind with working part-time vs mental health vs long term career vs finding the right job with the right salary and hours. I need one which doesn't mess up my benefits and that I can work guaranteed hours around my kids every week and doesn't leave me worse off!0 -
Ideally you need one to take you off benefits altogether
you will get there!

Sorry, more side hustle ideas!
Part-time lodger? Have your car wrapped (advertising)? Rent out your driveway/garage/bit of space in your loft?
What about a blog focussing on digital stuff, and some income from ads?
Sell the kids old toys/clothes on eBay?
Is there any room for you going really hard-core on your grocery budget? Can you grow any of your own food?
In terms of your business, do you also offer consultancy to businesses who have a site already but want to make some changes? Have you got a type of business you usually target? If so have you thought of public sector/charitable sector? They may have grants they can apply for to fund your work?

Can you copywrite?

Lol that's ok - I was just responding the passive aggressive post about me being on here rather than being constructive. I don't expect you to be psychic but I don't expect to be poked at because someone is judging me on how my time is spent on this one day. It's August, I have kids and I'm trying to have a bit of a break. It's no biggie and that's why I can spend all day on here lol.
Edit: Forgot to say that I don't do copywriting.0 -
Do any of the mum's at school need you to do the school run for them a few days a week? Or have their child after school for an hour til they finish work?Save 12 k in 2018 challenge member #79

Yep so I need the business to make £500 minimum every month JUST to break even and I need around £600 extra per month for myself. There are two of us - so that's four full websites every month. Never gonna happen only eight months into the business. My industry is a slow burner - it takes weeks to build a relationship and get a sell. I have 10+ people in my pipeline at all times and am constantly at networking events etc...hence the prices going up and a massive revamp of everything we offer
When you say you are not making a profit you mean you are not covering the £500, yes? Not that you are not making enough for you to live on - the two are very different things. Or are you failing to realise £125 (6 and bit charged hours) weekly off your 40+ hours?0 -

LOVE side-hustle ideas!!
Ok no spare room, no access to the loft, no garage and hadn't considered car wrapping - didn't even know that was a thing! Have to be careful with the house and driveway as it's social housing...!
Blog is on and have ads on my list
We always sell everything on eBay and car boots ☺️
Erm not a green fingered person at all and have a dog but I wil put growing food on the list! Can't afford food at the moment - mummy gives us £30 a week for food.
Ooooh grants is a great idea - on the list.
I have very rusty French a level??
You have tonnes of ideas! thanks!0 -

Yes - I need £500 a month to cover business expenses or these have to come out of my non-existent personal income. Then I need an extra £600 to take from the business for my personal income in order to cover my personal expenses.
I had a very good June where the copy brought in £1200 but I was SO behind with my bills that it all got swallowed up in those for the business and personal bills. If every month was like that, then I wouldn't be here lol.
July was about £600 coming in and this month £500 but I've taken two weeks off to get my energy levels back up and have the kids.0 -
You might have to work when you have the kids
