Office 2016 key

Options
I am trying to find out what my Office 2016 pro plus key is - magical jelly bean key finder only shows Windows keys - is there a safe, working, free alternative ?

Office 2016 doesn't use a key, it's downloaded from your Microsoft Account and authenticated that way. You may have used a key to activate it initially but you'd have had to set up or use a Microsoft account to download the software. Likewise if it needs reinstalling in the future you go to your MS account to get the installer.

I bought the key (cheaply) through Amazon and used it to initially install the program
I now need the key to "modify" the installation (dump Skype for business) and can't find it.......
    Any suggestions ?

You need the installer which is the same one you got through your Microsoft Account when you set it up first time round.

Sign in here with your MS email and password and you can modify the installation with the installer from here:

Sorry - not an expert - but if you go to Word (2016) -> File -> Account what does it say (in terms of subscription/product...) Post a pic?
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

Hate to say it but a cheap key is likely to be not genuine. Consumer installs of Office 2016 require you link it to a Microsoft account ... which allows you to reinstall easily.

That said ... what is preventing you modifying the install? I guess it is now requesting the key?

If Skype is annoying you I'd just look for a way to stop it starting up.

My installation of Office 2016 is OK - It is not requesting the key - only when I try modifying its installed components
