It looks like http://www.screwfix.com/p/eurospec-keyed-alike-euro-cylinder-lock-35-45-80mm-polished-brass/4553H?kpid=4553H&ds_rl=1250418&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx_mypcDb1QIVgrftCh2MVQtIEAQYBSABEgJz5vD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CO6qgNfA29UCFUin7QodH2YB8w - which costs £20 - so was fitted for free !!
It IS brass
Sold as anti-pick but can probably be picked in less than few minutes by somebody who knows what they are doing.
In fairness, most super-secure cylinders (Ultion, Avocet etc.) can also be picked by a good lock picker but probably not your average opportunistic burglar. Bumping and snapping on the other hand:

There are locks designed to simply break "locked" if someone tries snapping (Avocet ABC for example), as they've got a deliberate weak point on the "external" side of the mechanism (it shears off whilst leaving the locking part in place).0 -

Yes, I know, that's what molerat and I were alluding to - there are better cylinders out there and they are probably worth spending that bit extra on. I have a Brisant Ultion on my conservatory door. Even a 1* cylinder is better than no stars (when combined with a 2* handle its as good as a 3* cylinder on its own).0
