Replacement lock barrel for conservatory

Just had a replacement door lock barrel fitted to our 17 year old conservatory - by a different company to the manufacturer - cost just £20 fitted !

For that price they probably used a cheap barrel that can be opened with a wooden toothpick, a decent one costs more than that inclusive price !0

If only there was some kind of online DIY forum where people would happily share their knowledge on how to accomplish this relatively simple task...;)
molerat makes a good point though - a decent cylinder (3*) plus fitting costs more than £20 - around £35-50 for the cylinder alone.0
