    Was with Ovo for a year and all went smoothly so I tried to switch to a 2 year tariff. I knew I'd be paying more the first year, thought it would balance out. They made a total mess of the switch - no bills, no reading reminders, lost readings, refused to admit they' had readings until I said I still had some of the confirmation emails. So I negotiated to leave and went to Avro. AFTER I left they started demanding readings, sent me a final bill then sent me a bill for the period after I left, threatened me with debt collectors because I didnt pay it. The complaint is now with the Ombudsman.

    Avro is considerably cheaper and if they make a mess of my account no exit fees.
  • I have been with Ovo for several years. Service is unfaultable and website is excellent. Because I have the wonderful web-based statistics provided by Smart Gateway (perhaps not available currently to new customers) I feel totally locked in. It is odd that Ovo developed something very special and then decided not to deploy it.
    I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".
