I'm with plusnet for my broadband and have the Sagemcom 2704N router but I find the internet light is blinking when nothing is connected so is this normal.

Yes. It usually indicates data is being passed through the router.
It should be more of a flicker than an regular blinking.0 -
Perfectly normal.0

It never flashed before. The only light that used to flash was the WiFi light.0

Is it impacting your use of the service?0

I changed from Sky to PlusNet and had to set up the new tv for internet access.
Whereas the SKy unit has a special wifi button the PlusNet one does not, so I had to set up manually and found that after the tv made contact the modem appeared to still be searching (CS told me this was why the light still flashed). It was fixed by restarting the modem.0 -
Is it impacting your use of the service? Are you sure?
It is normal for the internet light to flash to indicate data is being sent and received, it will still flash occasionally when the computer is off as background noise is always being received.0
