On the Other hand was Malta- sliema / Valetta (ive been twice) will there be enough to see and do for him tho?
Can anyone find any Greek! ? Tunisia ?

When are you going? If it's soon, then you don't have to go too far south for warmth.
What about the Rioja region in Spain? You can fly to Bilbao (The Guggenheim! Look at: http://www.spain.info/TourSpain/Destinos/TipoI/Datos%20Generales/T/UP/0/Datos%20Generales.htm?Language=en)
but stay out in the country - smaller town. It's a beautiful area and extremely photogenic. Fantastic wine. Look at Logroño. (http://www.spain.info/TourSpain/Destinos/TipoII/Datos+Generales/V/QW/0/Logrono?language=en)
For ideas on accommodation, look at http://www.spain.info/TurSpainWeb/Templates/Alojamientos/Casas%20Rurales/Home.aspx?NRMODE=Published&NRORIGINALURL=%2fTourSpain%2fAlojamientos%2fCasas%2520Rurales%3fLanguage%3den&NRNODEGUID=%7b96126913-55A4-4395-85FF-162BB7C24456%7d&NRCACHEHINT=Guest&Language=en
If not Barcelona, what about Cuenca? Beautiful town with famous 'casas colgadas' (hanging houses). http://www.spain.info/TourSpain/Destinos/Provincias/G/GH/0/Cuenca.htm?Language=en
Again, another very photogenic area, smaller town, great countryside. To the east is a mountainous area called the Cuenca Massif, full of scenic valleys and waterfalls, as well as the weird and wonderful 'Enchanted City' - limestone rock formations carved by wind and water.
How about a smaller southern village in Spain? It was a while ago, granted, but stayed at wonderful pension in Salobreña and it was completely unspoiled. Only an hour or so from Granada and 1/2 k from coast. We had mule trains carrying sugar cane passing the porch where we breakfasted... There's a Moorish fortress atop a hill... I'd go back in a flash.

If you really want to get away from people, have a look at Doñana - a National Park and Nature Reserve. I've never been but always wanted to...haven't a clue how to get there in terms of closest airport, etc.
Hope this has given you an idea or two!Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

Just a quick note to say that you don't have to stay at places that are super popular with the Brits to be able to eat things that'll appeal to a conventional British palate. Smaller cities and towns have plenty of simple, non-spicy food. You'll just need to make a list before you go or memorize a few things, e.g, chuletas are cutlets/chops (usually beef or pork) and solomillo is fillet steak, you can often get 'hamburguesas' (hamburgers) and fritos (chips) are ubiquitous.Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:
