Travel Insurance Pre Existing Condition

Hi
I'm looking for a little help, I have travel insurance through my bank and have advised and paid extra to include my pre existing condition. We go on holiday beginning October but I'm about to change my medication for my condition and I'm wondering if you think that will cause an issue with my insurance? We are going to America for the first time so I want to make sure everything is covered and they have no way to refuse payment if something should happen over there. Wondering if I should delay the new meds until we return.
Thanks for any advice you can give me
